Listen to this encouraging message! Brothers and sisters, the Lord has given us this opportunity to come before Him in united prayer for a far greater purpose than Pastor Lewis’ physical healing. Let’s not stop praying! Let’s continue praying on one accord for God’s Spirit to be poured out upon us! For us to be fitted to give the loud cry! For revival and reformation and a renewal of God’s love in our hearts. Nothing is impossible with God.

Stephen Sleeps
On Sabbath, June 24, 2023, the Lord’s day of rest, at 5:07 PM, Pastor Stephen D. Lewis took his last breath.
We were by his bedside. In fact, right before he was to take his last breath, Sister Lewis had just shared her recent prayer that if the Lord didn’t heal Pastor Lewis then a very important part of Psalm 126:2 couldn’t happen! The part about the heathen:
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. (Psalm 126:2)
Her prayer was: “Lord! We’ve been in this place for two weeks, surrounded by a few who believe but a majority who don’t believe that you can heal! The heathen need to be able to see you work so that they can know to call you “The LORD” and acknowledge and believe that You are who You say You are!”
Well, the Lord heard that prayer and He will do with it what He will.
But this we know: The Lord is never limited. He works in his own time and way and he will fulfill His word! So while the Lord’s answer was not the outcome we had prayed and hoped for, we still bow the knee in humble adoration to our God and King who loved and heard every sincere prayer that came before His throne. Just and true are His ways…always! Now and forever.
Check back often for funeral information.
We’re still praying and praising the Lord! Three times a day: 6 AM, 12 PM, 6 PM. (256) 952-9015: 706322. God used Pastor Lewis to start a burning prayer ministry. Join us! We’re praying for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit! Let’s see what God will do! Let’s let God finish the work in us and through us so that we can go home!
Satan Trembles at the Sound of Prayer
For about two weeks, starting on June 11, we have earnestly prayed together on the Power Line three times a day for Pastor Lewis’ healing. It’s been intense. It has been a labor of love.
God is doing a big thing with our prayer band.
One big thing that has happened is that Satan and his whole host are trembling! And they really need to tremble! They’re bullies and their power is limited! God is in control and all power has been given to Him in heaven and in earth! And we must have that power! We absolutely must if we’re to win in this war.
If Satan sees that he is in danger of losing one soul, he will exert himself to the utmost to keep that one. And when the individual is aroused to his danger, and, with distress and fervor, looks to Jesus for strength, Satan fears that he will lose a captive, and he calls a reinforcement of his angels to hedge in the poor soul, and form a wall of darkness around him, that heaven’s light may not reach him. But if the one in danger perseveres, and in his helplessness casts himself upon the merits of the blood of Christ, our Saviour listens to the earnest prayer of faith, and sends a reinforcement of those angels that excel in strength to deliver him. Satan cannot endure to have his powerful rival appealed to, for he fears and trembles before His strength and majesty. At the sound of fervent prayer, Satan’s whole host trembles. He continues to call legions of evil angels to accomplish his object. And when angels, all-powerful, clothed with the armory of heaven, come to the help of the fainting, pursued soul, Satan and his host fall back, well knowing that their battle is lost. The willing subjects of Satan are faithful, active, and united in one object. And although they hate and war with one another, yet they improve every opportunity to advance their common interest. But the great Commander in heaven and earth has limited Satan’s power.—Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, 345, 346
Remember, “Satan cannot endure to have his powerful rival appealed to.”
Don’t stop praying! When the fires of affliction increase, pray harder!
Too Faithless
All who labor in the cause of God in any capacity, should be whole-hearted in the work. There is a lesson for us in the experience of Gideon’s army. Those whose hearts were in the work were so earnest that they would not stop to kneel by the brook to drink, but dipped up the water in their hands as they hurried on to the battle, and these are the ones whom God used; while those who made deliberate preparations to drink, and took their time for it, were sent back to their homes. The Lord God of Israel is watching every worker, to see whether he is in earnest, whether he carries upon his heart the burden of souls. God sees whether his servants touch these living interests with the ends of their fingers, or whether they grasp them with all their might. If all had the interest that Knox felt when he cried, “Give me Scotland, or I die!”—a wrestling with God that will not be denied,—the Lord would work with their efforts, and would give them souls for their hire. They would not be lifted up because of their success, nor would they for a moment fear that some one else would receive the credit due to them; but they would be so grateful to God for the souls saved that his praise would be in their hearts and on their lips day and night. It is such workers that God will make mighty in his cause.
We are altogether too faithless, and too narrow in our views. Gideon’s army prevailed, not because of their numbers, but because in living faith they followed the special directions of God. If we make narrow plans, we shall see very little accomplished. Gospel Workers, 297

God’s Delays
In delaying to come to Lazarus, Christ had a purpose of mercy toward those who had not received Him. He tarried, that by raising Lazarus from the dead He might give to His stubborn, unbelieving people another evidence that He was indeed “the resurrection, and the life.” He was loath to give up all hope of the people, the poor, wandering sheep of the house of Israel. His heart was breaking because of their impenitence. In His mercy He purposed to give them one more evidence that He was the Restorer, the One who alone could bring life and immortality to light. This was to be an evidence that the priests could not misinterpret. This was the reason of His delay in going to Bethany. This crowning miracle, the raising of Lazarus, was to set the seal of God on His work and on His claim to divinity. DA 529.1

God Has a Health Message
Pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water, trust in divine power—these are the true remedies. Every person should have a knowledge of nature’s remedial agencies and how to apply them. It is essential both to understand the principles involved in the treatment of the sick and to have a practical training that will enable one rightly to use this knowledge.
The use of natural remedies requires an amount of care and effort that many are not willing to give. Nature’s process of healing and upbuilding is gradual, and to the impatient it seems slow. The surrender of hurtful indulgences requires sacrifice. But in the end it will be found that nature, untrammeled, does her work wisely and well. Those who persevere in obedience to her laws will reap the reward in health of body and health of mind. Counsels on Diet and Foods, 301
